"Too Many Questions"
JapanxReader
You sat at the window today, watching as the rain hit the window hard. You were obviously bored, and didn't feel like getting up to do anything. So you just sat and watched to see which raindrop made it to the bottom first.
You were alone at your apartment, nothing to do, nowhere to go because of the weather, and nobody to be with. You would slam your head on the window sometimes, trying to wake yourself up from what you thought was just a sad dream. You were never bored like this! Never! What went wrong today!?
Then there was a knock at your door, and you fell over trying to get there. When you had successfully made it, tripping a few more times, you opened the door to find Heracles and Kiku standing there, as Kiku took the umbrella that was over them down.
You scratched your head, giving them a puzzled look. "Uhm, hello?"
"Hi (Name)..." Heracles mumbled.
You smiled, "Hi, guys!"
"Er," Kiku stepped in front of Heracles, "sorry to bother you. You must've been busy, but we have awhile before we get home...so we were wondering if--"
"YES!" You yelled, then pushed them both in the apartment.
The two stood in the living room confused, as if they weren't expecting you to say yes.
"So, what were you guys doing anyway?"
Kiku was the first to speak up, as Heracles was too busy looking around in amazement. You started to think he never spent time inside. "We were just doing Germany a favor, and we had to go all the way across town..."
"What favor?" You asked again.
"We just had to talk to someone for him."
"Who?"
For the first time, Kiku shot you an annoyed stare.
"S-sorry! I'm so bored!"
"Well, have you had lunch?" He asked.
You shook your head.
"Well then I'll cook something for you and Greece, alright?"
You nodded and he proceeded to walk off.
That's when Heracles turned around and gasped. "Did he just offer to cook?"
You nodded, "Yeah? So what?"
"He hasn't cooked in a while, so I was just saying."
You let out an "Ah..." and then sat down on the couch, looking out the nearby window.
You felt Heracles set down beside you and look out the window too. "You know, I begged Japan to stop somewhere way before here, but he kept telling me we couldn't stop."
You looked back at him, raising an eyebrow. "So why'd he stop here?"
"Is it not obvious?"
You shook your head.
"He likes you, ya know."
Your eyes got wide. You looked at him and squinted, as if you weren't believing him. "No, you're joking."
Heracles smiled, and spoke in a low tone, "Nope, I'm not. He kept yelling at me and telling me that he didn't want to stop anywhere...but then I pointed out your house and he said 'Well maybe she'll let us stay for awhile'. I repeated what he had said, but he told me that it was fine because you were our friend...but I mean, we passed America's house, and England's' house too..."
"And he didn't want to stop there?"
Heracles shook his head.
You thought for a moment. He was really good friends with Alfred, so that was weird that he didn't want to stop and stay there. You knew he'd stayed there before, whether it was all day, a little portion of the day, or overnight.
Kiku and Arthur were friends too, so that also confused you on why he refused to stop there. The two weren't as close as Alfred and him, no of course not, but he was still very good friends with him, and had spent a fair amount of time with Arthur to probably be welcome at any point.
"But that doesn't make sense," You suddenly said, causing Heracles to jump, as he was about to fall asleep because you took too long to respond.
"What?"
"W-why would he like me!?"
"Why wouldn't he? I'm not saying I see you as more than a friend, uhm, no offense to you there, but you're nice to us, and you're pretty. So I mean, why not?"
"H-he just doesn't seem like someone who would...d-date..."
"People can change," Heracles said, his eyes closing and then opening again.
"Why don't you sleep," You told him, laughing a little. "I'll go check on Kiku to make sure he didn't burn himself."
Before you could even get up, Heracles was already snoring. You shook your head. What a sleeper!
You made your way into the kitchen, slipping beside Kiku and watching him saute something in the pan.
You suddenly started to question him again, pressing up on his shoulder. "What are you making?"
"It's--"
"What is that?" You asked, pointing.
"That's--"
"Oh what about this?"
Kiku then threw the pan on the stove and nudged you away. "Calm down! What's your problem?"
That wasn't like Kiku...to get annoyed so easily? "No, what's yours?"
Kiku raised an eyebrow at you. "What?"
"You're getting so easily annoyed. You're usually laid back and stuff!"
He turned back to the stove. "I don't really like people all up on me like you were...that's just it."
You got wide eyed. He had totally just dissed you! "I'm sorry, I forgot. I thought we were friends."
Then you saw a small blush appear on his face. "Y-yeah we are, (Name). Of course...but--"
You wrapped your arms around him. "So you would get mad if I did this?"
He dropped the pan again, but this time it wasn't because he was angry. "(N-Name)...what are you doing?"
You giggled against his back, and locked your fingers together so he couldn't get out of your grasp.
"I-I...uhm, this isn't comfortable..."
"Why?" You asked, a bit puzzled that he'd say that after what Heracles told you.
"B-because...it's just..."
You brought your head to his ear and kissed it. "Kiku, are you alright?"
He then turned around, so that your fingers were against his back. He hugged you tightly at first, then looked into your (e/c) eyes. "W-why are you doing this?"
"Because uhm, well it's weird to admit it while you're dressed like you are you know."
Kiku blushed again, looking down. He was in his white apron, the one he always wore when he cooked for someone. He also wore the white bandana on his head to cover up his smooth, black hair. "Oh sorry, you know I always wear this while I'm cooking and..."
His voice trailed off as you giggled. "I know you do, I also know that...you didn't want to stop by Alfred or Arthur's house, but you wanted to stop by mine."
Kiku gasped, then bit his lower lip. "W-who told you that!?"
"Your cat friend."
Kiku turned his head to look at Heracles, who was now stretched out on your couch, snoring away.
"Well, I can't believe he would figure that out. For someone who sleeps all the time, he's sure smart."
"Wait, so you...K-Kiku!"
"What?"
"You like me?"
"Well--"
"Since when? I didn't know there was this side to you!"
"(Name), I--"
"Oh does this mean we're--"
"(Name)!"
You gave him a scared look. He never raised his voice at you. "W-what?"
"Yes! I do...I-I do have this...thing for you I guess. I mean, I don't know how Greece would know, but I guess he did and he felt like it was okay to tell you and now we're here and I'm just--"
You cut him off with a kiss. You could tell he was surprised at first, but he then relaxed and kissed you back.
When you two parted, he was blushing wildly. "U-uhm...what was that about?"
"Kiku! I like you too!"
He gasped a little, then hugged you tightly again.
"Kiku...do you--"
"Yes," He responded fast. "Now shush. You ask way too many questions."
But thanks anyway~~
